What is mental health first aid?
Mental health first aid (MHFA) is the help given to a person who is developing a mental health problem, experiencing an existing mental health problem, or who is in a mental health crisis.
We teach people how to recognise and address mental health issues in others, as well as how to engage them in supportive conversations.
Our courses are based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals. Please note courses are not a therapy or a support group.
